Belgium-based legaltech startup Alice has raised €1 million in pre-seed funding to scale its AI-powered platform designed to manage the full lifecycle of legal casework. The round was led by NewSchool and Seeder Fund, with participation from a group of Belgian angel investors.
Founded in 2025 by lawyers Jeroen Villé and Armin Wintein, Alice provides an integrated AI workflow that supports legal professionals from document analysis and legal research through to drafting arguments and producing court-ready materials. The platform is designed to keep lawyers in control, with traceable outputs and human oversight built into every stage. Alice is currently used by more than 60 law firms in Belgium.
The company said the new funding will be used to enhance its AI capabilities, grow the team, strengthen customer support, and expand into new markets, starting with the Netherlands and France, as demand grows for accountable and trustworthy AI in legal practice.
