Stockholm-based Brickanta has closed an $8 million Seed funding round led by Northzone, securing the capital in under two weeks to accelerate development of its AI-native operating system for construction. The platform targets the pre-construction phase, applying agentic AI to bid analysis, cost estimation, and procurement planning to reduce errors and prevent costly overruns before projects break ground.
Founded by Lucas Otterling, Brickanta has already onboarded hundreds of users across eleven countries, with customers using the system to generate detailed RFPs and pricing analyses in minutes rather than days. Northzone partner Pär-Jörgen Pärson highlighted AI’s potential to address decades of low productivity in construction. The company plans to use the funding to scale across Europe and expand its engineering and delivery teams.
