Roblox Launches Open Beta of AI-Powered 4D Creation Tools for Interactive Game Objects

Roblox announced the open beta release of its new AI-driven 4D creation technology, enabling creators to build fully interactive and functional objects rather than static 3D models. The launch follows the rollout of Cube 3D, an open-source AI model introduced last year that has already generated more than 1.8 million 3D objects on the platform.

The 4D system introduces interactivity by breaking objects into components with defined behaviors, allowing items such as vehicles to move and respond to players. Initial templates include multi-part vehicles and single-piece objects, with broader customization planned. CEO David Baszucki has positioned the release as part of a wider AI strategy to make world-building more dynamic, including future tools for real-time creation through text-based interaction, as Roblox continues expanding AI-assisted development across its platform.
