Overland AI Raises $100M to Scale Autonomous Ground Systems for Defense Applications

Overland AI announced it has raised $100 million in new funding to expand deployment of its autonomous ground vehicle systems across the U.S. Armed Forces. The equity round was led by 8VC, with participation from Point72 Ventures, Ascend Venture Capital, Shasta Ventures, Overmatch Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, and StepStone Group, alongside a $20 million venture debt facility from TriplePoint Capital.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, the company develops autonomous unmanned ground vehicles designed for logistics, reconnaissance, and battlefield operations in complex off-road and GPS-denied environments. Co-founder and CEO Byron Boots said the funding will support manufacturing expansion, field integration, and operational deployment as adoption of ground autonomy accelerates across military units and allied partners.
