London-based startup Trace has secured $3 million in seed funding to advance a workflow orchestration platform designed to improve enterprise deployment of AI agents. The round included backing from Y Combinator, Zeno Ventures, Transpose Platform Management, Goodwater Capital, Formosa Capital, WeFunder, and angel investors Benjamin Bryant and Kevin Moore.
Founded by Chief Executive Officer Tim Cherkasov and Chief Technology Officer Artur Romanov, Trace focuses on providing contextual intelligence for AI systems operating within complex corporate environments. The platform constructs a knowledge graph from enterprise tools such as email, Slack, and Airtable, enabling structured workflows that coordinate both human teams and AI agents. By embedding contextual data directly into task delegation, Trace aims to address a key barrier to enterprise AI adoption: the difficulty of onboarding and managing agents at scale.
