Cursor Surpasses $2B Annualized Revenue as Enterprise AI Coding Adoption Accelerates

AI coding assistant Cursor has exceeded $2 billion in annualized revenue, according to reporting from Bloomberg, with its revenue run rate reportedly doubling over the past three months. The milestone underscores continued growth in AI-assisted software development despite recent public speculation about competitive pressures.

Founded in 2022, Cursor initially focused on individual developers but has shifted toward enterprise customers, which now account for approximately 60% of revenue. While some independent developers have migrated to competing tools such as Anthropic’s Claude Code, higher-spending corporate clients have remained more stable.

Cursor operates in an increasingly competitive market that includes OpenAI’s Codex and other AI coding platforms. The company was last valued at $29.3 billion following a $2.3 billion funding round co-led by Accel and Coatue in November.
