Google Expands AI-Powered Personal Intelligence Across U.S. Users

Google announced the nationwide rollout of Personal Intelligence, an AI feature that enables its Gemini assistant to deliver tailored responses by connecting across services such as Gmail and Google Photos. Previously limited to paid users, the capability is now available to all U.S. users through AI Mode in Search, the Gemini app, and Gemini in Chrome.

The company indicated that the feature enhances AI-driven personalization by using contextual signals from a user’s ecosystem to improve recommendations, search results, and task assistance. Google emphasized that Personal Intelligence remains opt-in and is disabled by default, giving users control over data connections.

Google also clarified that Gemini does not train directly on personal content, instead relying on prompts and interactions. The rollout applies only to personal accounts and excludes enterprise and education users.
