Jeff Bezos is reportedly seeking to raise $100 billion for a new investment fund aimed at acquiring and modernizing industrial companies using artificial intelligence. The initiative is tied to his AI venture, Project Prometheus, where Jeff Bezos serves as co-founder and co-CEO alongside former Google executive Vik Bajaj.
Project Prometheus, which launched with $6.2 billion in funding, is focused on developing advanced AI models to enhance manufacturing and engineering across sectors such as aerospace and automotive. The proposed fund is expected to support this strategy by acquiring companies that can deploy these AI systems at scale.
Reports indicate that Jeff Bezos has been engaging with investors in regions including Singapore and the Middle East as part of the fundraising effort, targeting industries such as chipmaking and defense.
