Copenhagen-based Financial News Systems (FNS) has raised €1.5 million in pre-seed funding backed by Ugly Duckling Ventures, as it advances an AI-only financial newsroom model delivering real-time coverage of 9,000 companies across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Founded in 2024 by Gelu Sulugiuc and Nicolai Pedersen, the team behind PLX AI, the company is focused on replacing traditional financial journalism workflows with automated AI systems.
The platform uses specialised AI models to process press releases and regulatory filings instantly, distributing structured financial intelligence without human intervention. Leadership has positioned the system as a shift toward fully automated financial reporting, supported by partnerships with Dow Jones and FactSet.
The funding will support expansion into additional data categories, including IPOs, insider trading, and macroeconomic indicators, as FNS scales its AI-driven financial intelligence infrastructure.
