Google has introduced a series of AI-driven updates to its Vids video editor, enhancing its capabilities for enterprise content creation through advanced generative and editing tools. The latest release enables users to direct and customize AI avatars using natural language prompts, allowing dynamic interactions with products, props, and environments while maintaining visual consistency.
The platform now integrates the Veo 3.1 video-generation model, enabling users to create short clips directly within the editor, alongside expanded audio capabilities through previously introduced Lyria models. Google has also added direct export to YouTube and a Chrome-based screen recording extension to streamline content workflows.
The updates reflect Google’s continued investment in AI-powered media creation as competition intensifies across the generative video landscape.
