Tubi, the streaming service owned by Fox, has launched a native app within ChatGPT, enabling users to discover its library of more than 300,000 movies and TV episodes through natural language queries. The integration allows users to access the app via the ChatGPT store and generate personalised recommendations by prompting “@Tubi,” with results linked directly to content available on the platform.
Tubi becomes the first major streaming service to build a dedicated experience ChatGPT, reflecting a broader shift toward AI-native content discovery. The move follows earlier internal experiments with AI, including its discontinued “Rabbit AI” feature, and signals a strategic pivot toward leveraging external AI ecosystems.
The launch comes as competition in streaming intensifies and discovery becomes increasingly complex. It also aligns with expanding developer integrations within ChatGPT, as adoption of AI-powered interfaces continues to grow.
