Meta has reported a significant surge in adoption of its Meta AI app following the launch of its new AI model, Muse Spark, marking the first major release under Alexandr Wang, head of Meta’s Superintelligence Labs. Data from Appfigures showed the app rising from №57 to №5 on the U.S. App Store within a day, while Sensor Tower estimated a sharp increase in downloads and web traffic.
Muse Spark introduces multimodal capabilities, supporting voice, text, and image inputs, and is designed for tasks including reasoning, learning, and visual coding. The model can also deploy multiple subagents to handle complex queries.
Meta is positioning the release as a major upgrade to its Llama models, with plans to expand across platforms including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger, as it accelerates efforts to compete in the AI market.
