Veridas Launches AI-Powered Injection Attack Detection to Combat Rising Identity Fraud

Veridas, a global leader in AI-driven identity verification, has introduced an advanced injection attack detection system to tackle the increasing threat of synthetic identities and AI-powered fraud. This latest enhancement combines liveness verification with face, voice, and document authentication, ensuring greater security in digital transactions.

According to the Veridas Identity Fraud Report 2024, 85% of financial fraud cases now involve synthetic identities, with fraudsters injecting deepfakes and AI-generated data directly into identity verification systems. The UK government has identified deepfakes as one of the greatest online security challenges, further highlighting the urgency of addressing these threats.

Veridas’ new technology analyzes device authenticity during onboarding, preventing injected attacks at their source. Leading financial institutions across the US, Spain, Italy, and Mexico are already leveraging the system to detect previously undetectable fraud attempts. CTO Javier San Agustín emphasized that this innovation offers businesses a powerful tool to protect customer trust, meet compliance requirements, and safeguard against AI-driven fraud.
