Figure AI Hits $2.6B Valuation with $675M Raise from Bezos, NVIDIA & OpenAI for Humanoid Robot Development

Figure AI, a startup specializing in humanoid robots for industries facing labor shortages, announced on Thursday a significant funding round of $675 million, valuing the company at $2.6 billion.

The investment includes contributions from high-profile names like Jeff Bezos, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Amazon’s Industrial Innovation Fund.

Launched in 2022, Figure AI aims to deploy its human-like robot, Figure 01, in sectors such as manufacturing and logistics. The robot demonstrated its capabilities in a recent video, showcasing its ability to walk and handle tasks like moving crates.

Despite the competitive landscape with companies like Agility Robotics, Tesla, and Boston Dynamics, Figure AI is focusing on developing advanced AI systems for autonomous task performance. The company is also collaborating with OpenAI and utilizing Microsoft’s Azure for AI infrastructure.

With the humanoid robot market projected to grow significantly, Figure AI’s recent funding and partnerships position it as a key player in the evolving field.
