Salesforce introduced new AI and data solutions on Thursday aimed at reducing the administrative strain on healthcare workers. The tools, Einstein Copilot: Health Actions and Assessment Generation, are designed to streamline tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient data summarization, referral sending, and the digitization of health assessments, respectively. These solutions are integrated into Salesforce’s Einstein 1 Platform, which consolidates medical data from various sources into a single system.
The initiative addresses the significant issue of administrative burnout among healthcare professionals, highlighted by a survey from Athenahealth showing that over 90% of physicians regularly experience burnout, primarily due to clerical burdens. Salesforce’s offerings promise to alleviate some of these challenges by automating data entry and summarization tasks, thus allowing doctors to focus more on patient care.
Assessment Generation is set to be available this summer, with Einstein Copilot: Health Actions following at year-end. Salesforce also ensures that all features will adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient data security and privacy.
