UK climate tech startup Dendra Systems has raised a $15.7 million Series B to scale its AI-driven platform for ecosystem restoration. The Oxford-based company, freshly announced early this May, has pulled the sum in from Zouk Capital, Aramco Ventures, Understorey Capital and Helium-3 Ventures.
With this investment round completed, Dendra Systems is planned to further establish new markets and boost the development of RestorationOS for high-resolution imagery and drone-based seeding of land rehabilitation across different environments.
Founded in 2014, Dendra Systems has managed over 70,000 hectares and serves clients like Rio Tinto and BHP. The technology is considered transformative for environmental monitoring and large-scale restoration. John Higelin of Zouk Capital highlighted Dendra’s role in global sustainability efforts. Notably, Dendra partnered with the UAE’s Environment Agency to plant 27 million mangroves in Abu Dhabi by 2030, demonstrating its commitment to environmental restoration.
“This funding will enable us to bring our AI-driven restoration solutions to more ecosystems around the world, helping to reverse biodiversity loss and mitigate the effects of climate change,” said Susan Graham, CEO of Dendra Systems.
