Seegrid, a Pittsburgh-based provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for pallet material handling, has closed a $50M Series D investment round led by Giant Eagle Incorporated and G2 Venture Partners, with additional backing from existing shareholders. This funding will accelerate Seegrid’s growth in the autonomous lift truck market, which is experiencing higher-than-expected demand.
CEO Joe Pajer underlined the confidence of investors in Seegrid’s innovative AMR technology, noting that labor shortages and rising wages are driving rapid adoption of automation in material handling. This investment strengthens Seegrid’s leadership in the evolving autonomous tow tractor and lift truck sectors.
