Singapore-based Supermom, an AI-powered consumer data platform focused on connecting brands with mothers and families, has secured S$18 million (US$14 million) in a Series B funding round led by Granite Asia, with participation from returning investors AC Ventures and Qualgro, as well as Hearst Ventures. This latest funding round comes nearly two years after Supermom’s Series A round, which raised S$8 million and was led by Qualgro in December 2022.
Supermom has established itself as a major player in the consumer data market, leveraging AI to connect a network of over 10 million parents across Southeast Asia and working with more than 250 consumer brands, including global companies like AIA, Kimberly Clark, Abbott Laboratories, and Unilever, as well as Southeast Asian leaders like Mandiri and Indofood. The platform not only helps families make informed lifestyle and consumption choices but also provides income-earning opportunities for mothers in exchange for their insights, helping foster a supportive community.
CEO Luke Lim expressed gratitude to both new and returning investors, stating that Supermom is committed to building “the largest AI-driven data platform in SEA connecting brands and consumers.” Lim emphasized that the company’s focus on core solutions and clients has created a solid foundation for growth, and he expressed confidence in the partnership with Granite Asia, citing their extensive experience in scaling tech startups.
Jenny Lee, Managing Partner at Granite Asia, shared the firm’s excitement in supporting Supermom’s growth and expansion. Lee noted that Supermom’s mission to empower parents across Southeast Asia aligns with Granite’s values, and the firm looks forward to accelerating Supermom’s impact in the region.
Katie Hu, Managing Director of Hearst Ventures, remarked on Supermom’s ability to deliver significant business growth for brands while enhancing experiences for families, adding that Supermom’s expanding reach in Southeast Asia makes it a notable company to watch.
Qualgro Partner Weisheng Neo highlighted the firm’s confidence in Supermom’s capabilities, attributing their support to a productive relationship that has driven accelerated growth and advanced product development. Neo emphasized Supermom’s speed and dedication in building an innovative data platform tailored to the needs of its community.
AC Ventures’ Adrian Li noted Supermom’s rapid growth in Indonesia, especially with the recent launch of Project 1MPACT, which has onboarded new agencies and brands. Li expressed enthusiasm about being part of Supermom’s expansion journey in Southeast Asia’s largest and fastest-growing market.
Founded by Joan Ong, former Managing Director of global MICE organizer Terrapinn, along with CEO Luke Lim and Chief of Staff Rebecca Koh, Supermom plans to use the new funding to enhance its AI capabilities, expand internationally, and grow its team to further develop the platform’s offerings and drive innovation in connecting brands and families.
