Estonian startup Askel.ai, a no-code workflow automation platform, has closed a €380,000 investment round and launched its product aimed at simplifying automation for SaaS companies. The platform empowers users to automate repetitive tasks using everyday language, streamlining operations without requiring technical expertise.
Founded by Joosep Kõljalg, Kristofer Kurvits, and Tim Jaanson, Askel.ai seeks to revolutionize workflow automation. Kõljalg, a former engineering director at Twilio, highlighted the vision behind the platform, stating that inefficiencies in back-office operations often hinder scalability. He emphasized the platform’s potential, saying it enables “anyone, regardless of technical skill, to create AI agents to handle repetitive tasks faster, more accurately, and around the clock.”
Askel.ai integrates automation directly into SaaS products, allowing non-technical users to create, manage, and execute automations within familiar online tools. Early adopters of the platform have reported task completion times reduced by up to 10 times, improving operational efficiency while reducing burdens on engineering teams.
The €380,000 funding round attracted several high-profile investors, including:
- Manuel Huez, co-founder of ProcessOut.
- Patrick Malatack, partner at Matrix.
- Janer Gorohhov, co-founder of Veriff.
- Ott Kaukver, former CTO of Checkout.com and Twilio, and a technical lead at Skype.
The funding round was led by Superangel, demonstrating strong investor confidence in the startup’s potential to transform workflow automation.
