SAP and Databricks have announced a strategic partnership to merge Databricks’ advanced data analytics with SAP’s core enterprise software, creating a more integrated and AI-driven approach to managing business-critical data. The collaboration introduces Business Data Cloud, a platform designed to eliminate data silos and streamline insights across HR, finance, and logistics.
SAP CEO Christian Klein emphasized that the initiative opens SAP’s business data and allows seamless integration with non-SAP datasets using Databricks’ technology. He highlighted the role of AI assistants and intelligent agents in predicting business impacts from external factors like weather, tariffs, and policy changes.
Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi described the partnership as a perfect match, underscoring the critical value of SAP’s enterprise data. Databricks has allocated $250 million for SAP network migrations, forecasting $1 billion in revenue from the integration over the coming years. The platform will be available on Amazon, Microsoft, and Google cloud services.
