Ochy, the AI-driven running gait platform, has announced a $1.7 million pre-seed funding round, accelerating its mission to enhance performance and injury prevention for athletes. The funding, led by Redstone’s Social Impact Fund, included participation from Look AI Ventures, BPI France, Berkeley SkyDeck, and Agile Physical Therapy. The investment will fuel Ochy’s AI technology advancements, global expansion, and community-driven initiatives.
Khaldon Evans, Co-founder and CEO of Ochy, highlighted the company’s vision of democratizing access to motion analysis, making lab-quality running gait analysis available to everyone. He emphasized that the combination of cutting-edge AI, a partnership with adidas, and forward-thinking investors strengthens Ochy’s foundation in supporting athletes worldwide.
Ochy has also been integrated into the adiClub program, allowing adidas loyalty members to redeem points for access to Ochy’s biomechanics analysis. Javier Arias, Global Director of Membership Partnerships at adidas, stated that the collaboration aligns with adiClub’s goal of empowering members with cutting-edge tools, enhancing performance, and increasing engagement.
Founded in 2021 by Khaldon Evans, physical therapist Perrine Chapot, and engineer Victor Dequidt, Ochy leverages computer vision AI to deliver real-time gait analysis using only a smartphone camera. Users receive detailed posture and stride insights within 60 seconds, with tailored recommendations to improve running form and reduce injury risk.
With users in 146 countries, including coaches and medical professionals, Ochy continues to revolutionize biomechanical analysis, making elite-level insights accessible to runners worldwide.
