Brahma, a global AI and content technology company created by the DNEG Group, has announced the acquisition of Metaphysic, a leader in AI-driven content creation. The transaction, structured as a merger, positions Brahma to accelerate its development of AI-powered products for enterprises, IP rights-holders, and content creators, enhancing their ability to produce high-quality content at scale. Following the acquisition, Brahma’s valuation stands at $1.43 billion, with an additional $25 million investment from the United Al Saqer Group (UASG) and the DNEG Group.
Prabhu Narasimhan, Executive Chairman of Brahma, stated that the company is integrating DNEG’s award-winning visual effects and animation tools with the power of generative AI to create an advanced suite of AI content products. He explained that Brahma aims to extend its impact beyond high-end film and television production to enterprises and content creators in various industries, enabling them to bring stories to life with greater efficiency and lower costs.
Thomas Graham, CEO of Metaphysic and President of Brahma, highlighted that Brahma’s approach offers businesses a strategy for AI-driven content creation, ensuring secure data ownership and high-quality user-customized content across video, image, and audio. He emphasized that the combined expertise of Brahma and Metaphysic will enable the development of an operating system for generative AI content, securing intellectual property while generating new revenue opportunities.
Namit Malhotra, Founder and CEO of the DNEG Group and interim CEO of Brahma, noted that the acquisition significantly enhances Brahma’s capabilities, positioning it as a transformative force in AI-powered content creation. He remarked that Brahma’s platform will allow IP rights-holders and creators in industries ranging from media and entertainment to healthcare and education to produce high-fidelity content at a scale previously available only to high-budget productions.
The announcement follows recent industry recognition of Brahma’s technology, including Ziva’s 2025 SciTech Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Metaphysic’s AI neural performance toolset receiving the Emerging Technology Award at the Visual Effects Society Awards.
Brahma’s leadership team includes Executive Chairman Prabhu Narasimhan, Interim CEO Namit Malhotra, and President Thomas Graham, who will transition to CEO following Metaphysic’s integration. Other key executives include Ramki Sankaranarayanan as President of CLEARⓇ, Paul Salvini as CTO, and Crawford Doran as Vice President of Ziva.
