Flexport, the global leader in supply chain technology, has introduced its first Winter Release, launching over 20 AI-driven solutions designed to revolutionize global logistics. This release features Flexport Intelligence, a cutting-edge AI tool that enables businesses to analyze supply chain performance using natural language, providing real-time insights without requiring technical expertise.
Ryan Petersen, CEO of Flexport, stated that AI-driven supply chain technology is now an industry standard, and Flexport’s latest innovations are positioning the company as the largest AI provider in global logistics. He emphasized that while startups are attempting to develop AI tools for logistics, they lack the scale and data Flexport possesses, giving the company a competitive edge in both product development and adoption.
The release introduces Flexport Control Tower, a system that grants businesses access to Flexport’s supply chain technology even for shipments managed by other carriers. Ted Boeglin, VP of North America, highlighted that early adopters of Control Tower have reported a 10% reduction in freight costs. The system now integrates order management, allocation tracking, and third-party booking tools, allowing businesses to optimize logistics operations while maintaining visibility across their supply chain.
Flexport Intelligence consolidates fragmented data, delivering actionable insights through interactive dashboards that help businesses predict disruptions and streamline operations. The company has also enhanced its AI Demand Planning and Inventory Placement solution, leveraging AI models to optimize inventory distribution and reduce inefficiencies across the Flexport network.
Further expanding its AI capabilities, Flexport is rolling out Voice Agents to automate carrier interactions, improving efficiency and accuracy behind the scenes. Additionally, the company is launching the logistics industry’s first real-time pricing engine, allowing customers to compare and book freight in seconds across multiple transportation modes, eliminating lengthy quote wait times.
Beyond logistics, Flexport is expanding its e-commerce fulfillment offerings with a new dropshipping solution, enabling brands to sell across more than 50 major retailer websites. The company is also simplifying international parcel shipping through integrations with Shopify Managed Markets and Passport, ensuring transparent pricing and seamless global expansion.
Sanne Manders, President of Flexport, described the company’s approach to AI as an augmentation rather than just automation, explaining that AI tools free up human expertise to tackle complex challenges while delivering superior service and cost savings for clients. The company plans to introduce new technology through a semi-annual product release cycle, with the next update expected in late summer.
