Salesforce has unveiled plans to invest $1 billion in Singapore over the next five years, reinforcing its commitment to the country’s digital transformation and the expansion of its AI-powered platform, Agentforce. The cloud software giant aims to accelerate AI adoption in enterprise solutions while supporting Singapore’s push to enhance workforce productivity amid demographic shifts.
Speaking at CONVERGE LIVE in Singapore, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff highlighted the company’s long-standing presence in the region, noting that Singapore has played a key role in its global operations for 25 years. He stated that the investment will bolster Salesforce’s AI research and development efforts, with some of the world’s leading AI engineers already based at its Singapore research center.
Agentforce, Salesforce’s latest AI-driven enterprise solution, was launched last month and is designed to handle complex queries within Slack and other enterprise applications by leveraging vast amounts of organizational data. The company emphasized that the technology could help Singapore expand its workforce capabilities in critical public sector and service roles.
Jermaine Loy, managing director of the Singapore Economic Development Board, welcomed the announcement, stating that Salesforce’s investment will contribute to Singapore’s ambition of becoming a global hub for AI innovation. As generative AI continues to shape enterprise technology, Salesforce’s commitment positions Singapore as a key center for the advancement of AI-powered business solutions.
