Midjourney, a pioneer in AI-generated imagery, has released V7, its first new model in nearly a year. CEO David Holz described V7 as built on a “totally different architecture,” offering improved image quality, prompt comprehension, and coherence in details like hands and objects.
V7 introduces personalization by default, tailoring outputs based on user-rated images. It also powers a new Draft Mode, rendering images up to ten times faster at reduced cost. Available via web and Discord, V7 comes in two versions — Turbo and Relax.
Holz noted that while features like upscaling and retexturing are not yet active, the model is already a leap forward in AI-powered visual generation.
