Google has officially released NotebookLM for Android and iOS, expanding access to its AI-powered research assistant just ahead of its I/O 2025 keynote. Previously available only on desktop, the mobile launch allows users to interact with smart summaries, ask document-specific questions, and manage notebooks directly from their devices.

NotebookLM also introduces Audio Overviews — AI-generated podcast-style briefings based on user-uploaded content — with support for offline listening and background playback. Users can now add sources like web pages, PDFs, and YouTube videos on mobile via the share menu and organize them into notebooks.

The app supports light and dark modes and is expected to be a highlight during Google’s developer conference this week.
