Hyderabad-based startup Frinks AI, founded by IIT Hyderabad alumni Aditya Agrawal, Dharmgya Sharma, and Subhra S. Bhattacherjee, has raised $5.4 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Prime Venture Partners, bringing its total funding to $6.25 million. The deep-tech company is developing foundational Vision AI models that transform how manufacturers approach visual inspection and quality control.
The round saw continued backing from Chiratae Ventures, along with support from Navam Capital and Ashok Atluri, founder of Zen Technologies. Strategic investors and advisors include S Ramadorai (former MD & CEO, TCS), Dr. V Sumantran (ex-Executive Director, Tata Motors), Dr. Tarun Ramadorai (Imperial College London), and Dr. Gopichand Katragadda (former Group CTO, Tata Sons).
Frinks AI’s platform — already deployed across 1,000+ production lines in automotive, consumer goods, building materials, and medical devices — uses proprietary AI models to detect defects, enhance consistency, and improve throughput. CEO Aditya Agrawal stated that the company is “powering a new industrial revolution” as manufacturers turn to AI to boost resilience and efficiency amid global supply chain pressures.
With this funding, Frinks AI will expand in the US, accelerate R&D, and form go-to-market partnerships with automation providers.
