LinkedIn CEO Flags Lukewarm Interest in AI Post-Polishing Tool

Demand for LinkedIn’s AI text-polishing assistant has lagged expectations, chief executive Ryan Roslansky told Bloomberg. He said uptake is “lower than expected” because the platform doubles as a résumé, making professionals wary of being exposed for AI-written posts that could dent career prospects.

Despite this caution, LinkedIn’s AI footprint is expanding: job ads requiring AI skills have risen six-fold in the past year, while members listing those skills have jumped twenty-fold. Roslansky noted that public backlash on other social apps is mild “compared with criticism on LinkedIn, which can directly affect economic opportunity.” He added that he uses Microsoft Copilot to “sound Satya-smart” when emailing Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
