IBM Partners with Anthropic to Integrate Claude AI into Enterprise Software

IBM has announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic to embed the Claude family of large language models into its enterprise software products, marking a significant expansion of AI capabilities across IBM’s portfolio. The first integration will launch within IBM’s integrated development environment (IDE), currently accessible to select customers.

As part of the collaboration, the two companies have also co-authored an enterprise AI implementation guide outlining best practices for building, deploying, and maintaining secure, large-scale AI agents.

The partnership reflects Anthropic’s growing presence in the enterprise market following the release of Claude Enterprise and its recent deal with Deloitte to deploy Claude to nearly 500,000 employees worldwide. Both companies are positioning the collaboration to accelerate safe, high-performance AI adoption across industries.
