PEAK:AIO, a Manchester-based software company developing ultra-fast and energy-efficient infrastructure for AI workloads, has raised £5 million in new funding led by Pembroke VCT, which contributed £3.7 million of the total investment. The round also included backing from NPIF II — Praetura Equity Finance, managed by Praetura Venturesas part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II.
Founded by Mark Klarzynski, PEAK:AIO has built next-generation storage systems designed to remove performance bottlenecks that limit AI adoption. Its technology is already being deployed by major institutions including the NHS, King’s College London, the Zoological Society of London, and Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States. The funding aims to expand production and meet growing global demand for faster, greener AI infrastructure.
