Meta AI Mobile App Sees Surge in Users Following Launch of Vibes Feed

Meta AI’s mobile app has experienced a sharp rise in engagement, with daily active users climbing to 2.7 millionacross iOS and Android as of October 17, up from around 775,000 just a month earlier, according to new data from Similarweb. App installations have also surged, reaching 300,000 downloads per day, compared with fewer than 200,000 daily installs in previous weeks.

Analysts attribute the growth to the introduction of Meta’s new “Vibes” feed, launched on September 25, which added short-form AI-generated video content to the app. The timing of this feature rollout closely aligns with the platform’s rapid adoption spike.

The app’s rise comes as competitors including ChatGPT, Grok, and Perplexity have seen declines in user activity, underscoring Meta’s growing momentum in the AI-powered consumer app market.
