3C AGI Partners Launches $100M Fund to Invest in Foundational AI Infrastructure

3C AGI Partners, founded by former SenseTime executive Esther Wong, has launched a US$100 million venture fund focused on artificial intelligence infrastructure, with backing from Hong Kong-based family office VMS Group. The fund will target foundational AI technologies including specialized chips, servers, and next-generation data centers, reflecting a “picks and shovels” investment strategy centered on the hardware powering AI systems rather than application-layer software.

Wong indicated the firm views AI infrastructure as a more durable long-term investment opportunity amid concerns that AI applications are becoming overvalued. Drawing on experience at SenseTime and J.P. Morgan, Wong is positioning the firm to support capital-intensive deep-tech companies globally under a “US Plus” investment mandate.
