Handle Closes $6M Funding Round to Expand AI Agent Platform for Enterprise Operations

Enterprise software startup Handle has raised $6 million in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz as it accelerates development of artificial intelligence agents designed to automate complex operational workflows. The company also announced plans to expand into Mexico, its first international market, highlighting the widespread use of WhatsApp and email for business communications in the region.

Handle was founded by Alfonso de los Ríos, a Mexican entrepreneur and former CEO of logistics company Nowports, which reached a valuation of $1.1 billion. The company said its platform was developed to address operational inefficiencies caused by fragmented systems, disconnected communications, and manual processes inside growing organizations.

At the center of the platform is a real-time operational engine called Signal, which connects tools including email, WhatsApp, Salesforce, HubSpot, Oracle, and NetSuite. On top of this infrastructure, AI agents can execute workflows such as processing quotes, reconciling data, and handling claims without continuous human intervention.

Handle is initially targeting the insurance broker industry, a sector it describes as highly fragmented. The company said it already works with more than 75 brokers in Mexico, including Inter.mx, Genomma Lab, De Acero, and Qualitas, as it scales its AI-driven operational platform.
