Startup Rox, which develops autonomous artificial intelligence agents designed to improve sales productivity, has raised a new funding round that values the company at $1.2 billion, according to sources familiar with the transaction. The round reportedly included a lead investment from existing backer General Catalyst, though the company has not publicly commented on the deal.
Founded in 2024 by Ishan Mukherjee, the former chief growth officer of New Relic and co-founder of monitoring startup Pixie, Rox is building an AI-driven revenue operations platform that integrates with enterprise systems such as Salesforce and Zendesk. The system deploys multiple AI agents that analyze customer accounts, research prospects, and update CRM records automatically.
The company aims to consolidate fragmented sales software by using AI agents to monitor customer activity, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend next steps for revenue teams. Rox’s platform is already used by companies including Ramp, MongoDB, and New Relic, as competition intensifies in the emerging market for AI-driven sales automation tools.
