Georgia-based contingent workforce management company Impact Workforce Solutions has announced the launch a new division, Impact Robotics.
According to the company, the goal is to help companies address labor shortages by integrating automation into existing workforce operations.
The unit will focus on combining robotics deployment with workforce strategy, targeting repetitive, high-turnover and difficult-to-fill roles. The approach is designed to augment human labor rather than replace it, allowing workers to shift into higher-value tasks, the company stressed.
“Let me be clear about one thing. Automation isn’t about replacing people — it’s about augmenting them,” founder Don G. King said in the announcement.
Impact Robotics is structured around a phased pilot-validate-scale implementation modelintended to improve adoption and reduce the risk of failed automation deployments. The company said many automation efforts fall short due to poor integration with real-world workflows rather than limitations in the technology itself.
The company said Impact Robotics will use an integrated approach, combining automation with workforce management and talent acquisition through its broader ecosystem, including iBoost Talent. The approach is designed to align labor and automation strategies, improving retention, productivity and operational performance.
Impact Workforce Solutions said Impact Robotics will operate within the company’s broader workforce platform, which includes talent acquisition and workforce management services, as it expands into automation-focused offerings.
“Labor shortages aren’t going away — so we built a model that works with them, not against them,” King noted. “No one else within our industry is doing what we’re doing.”
