South Korean robotics company Doosan Robotics has expanded its Frankfurt branch to bolster its growth in Europe.
The company said the Frankfurt expansion builds on partnerships established over the past year in markets including Germany, France and the Netherlands. The new facility adds space for robotics demonstrations, application development and customer support while serving as a regional hub for system integrators and partners.
According to Doosan Robotics, the move is the next step in its European strategy plan and includes expanding local repair capabilities with parts inventory and replacement systems designed to reduce downtime for customers. Training programs are being broadened as well, including hands-on repair sessions where participants can disassemble and work directly on robotic systems.
At the opening event on May 19, Doosan showcased a range of commercial applications including palletizing, machine tending, AI vision-guided pick-and-place systems and automated drink preparation. The company said it also plans to establish an application center where customers can work with engineers to develop customized robotics solutions.
“The expanded Frankfurt branch gives us a stronger platform to serve customers and partners across Europe with greater speed, proximity, and technical support,” company president Inwon Park said in the annnouncement. “Beyond supplying products, we will continue to strengthen our brand trust and business competitiveness in the European market by building a locally integrated service and training infrastructure.”
