EngineAI Says New Factory Began Rolling Out T800 Humanoid Robots

Insider Brief

  • EngineAI Robotics announced a new manufacturing facility in Shenzhen and began production of the first batch of its T800 humanoid robots, with the company saying the factory can produce a robot every 15 minutes.
  • The 129,000-square-foot facility supports the full manufacturing process and incorporates automated assembly, bonding and laser welding systems alongside digital traceability and quality-control measures that include 79 inspections and 46 simulated operating-condition tests per robot.
  • The launch supports EngineAI’s effort to scale production of its full-size T800 humanoid robot, which the company is also using as the standard platform for its Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend competition focused on humanoid software and algorithm development.

EngineAI Robotics announced its new factory in China producing the first batch of its T800 humanoid robots. The company claims the new EngineAI Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Shenzhen is capable of producing a new humanoid robot every 15 minutes.

“From our first test machine in 2024, to the small-scale production of hundreds of PM01 units in 2025, and now to the qualitative leap toward a 10,000-unit delivery capability, we are entering a new phase of industrialization and commercialization,” founder and CEO Zhao Tongyang said in a statement. “By building a manufacturing system centered on quality, efficiency, and intelligent production, we have accelerated our journey from pilot production to mass manufacturing and from zero to scale.”

‘Intelligent Production’ to Build at Scale

According to the company, the new 129,00 square-feet facility is designed to handle the full production process, from component inspection and assembly testing to final integration, quality validation, shipping and maintenance support. To improve production efficiency and standardize manufacturing processes, the company has increased use of automated manufacturing equipment, including systems for assembly, bonding and laser welding.

EngineAI said along with the automated manufacturing processes, its quality-control system includes strict component screening, digital tracking that allows individual parts and finished robots to be traced throughout production, as well as “rigorous testing.” The company noted that each robot undergoes 79 quality inspections and 46 simulated operating-condition tests before delivery.

The T800 Humanoid Robot

The T800 is EngineAI’s full-size humanoid robot designed for higher payload capacity for industrial environments. In April, EngineAI opened global registration for Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend, a humanoid robot competition that uses the company’s T800 humanoid robot as a standardized platform to evaluate motion control, balance and decision-making.

“As our intelligent manufacturing network expands across Shenzhen, Henan, and beyond, these facilities will work together to better allocate capacity and respond faster to the market, creating a more efficient foundation for future global growth,” added co-founder Ren Guowen.

Founded in late 2023, EngineAI has built a portfolio that includes the SA01, SE01, PM01 and T800 humanoid robots, while developing its own robotic components, motion-control technologies and AI systems in-house.
