Weave Robotics has launched an $8,000 home robot called Isaac 1 that is designed to handle household tasks with deliveries expected to begin this fall.

According to the company, Isaac 1 is built for home use and is intended to handle tedious tasks while fitting into residential spaces when working or docked. The robot follows Isaac 0, Weave’s first shipping robot, which folds laundry.

“Isaac 1 is the robot we set out to build when we founded Weave,” the company noted in it’s announcement. “it’s the robot we wanted for our own homes.”

Isaac 0 has been delivered to homes and businesses across California since February, according to Weave. The company said the robot has logged more than 2,000 hours in the field and folds more than 1,000 pounds of laundry each week for customers. Isaac 1 does more, the company said.

“Isaac 1 resets the rooms in your home so that every day you come back to spaces that are ready to be lived in,” the company explains on its website. “Beds, made. Pillows, blankets, kids’ and pets’ toys, shoes, back where they belong.”

Isaac 1 Features & Specs

Detachable fabric panels: Weave said the panels are intended to give Isaac 1 a softer look and allow users to match the robot to different home environments.

Physical shutters: The robot’s head cameras include shutters designed to make clear when Isaac 1 is working and when it is not.

A matching home base: The robot comes with a charging station and privacy screens, giving it a fixed place when it is at rest.

Power: Isaac 1 has an eight-hour battery life and a two-hour charge time.

Connectivity: The robot connects over Wi-Fi.

Size: Isaac 1 has a 20.5-inch by 22-inch footprint and can adjust from 3 feet to 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Reach: The robot has an 80-inch vertical reach and a 38-inch horizontal reach.

Movement: Isaac 1 has 21 degrees of freedom: two in the neck, six in each arm, one in each hand, two in the torso and three in the base.

Isaac 1 uses custom hardware, including actuators, end-effectors and linkage systems developed by Weave and the robots, designed to be safe, quiet and reliable, are assembled in California. The company said it began building prototypes in 2024 and focused on robots designed specifically for use in homes rather than adapting industrial systems.

The company said Isaac 1 is now available for pre-order and payment options include a $449-a-month subscription plan or a $7,999 upfront purchase. Weave said orders are open with a fully refundable $250 deposit.
