Fei-Fei Li’s World Labs Launches Marble, Its First Commercial Generative World Model

World Labs, the AI startup founded by Fei-Fei Li, has launched Marble, its first commercial generative world model, following a limited beta released two months ago. The product, now available through free and paid tiers, allows users to generate and edit 3D environments from text prompts, photos, videos, or 3D layouts, exporting them as Gaussian splats, meshes, or videos.

Backed by $230 million in funding since emerging from stealth last year, World Labs is positioning Marble ahead of rivals such as Google’s Genie and Odyssey by offering persistent, editable worlds rather than temporary, morphing environments. Marble introduces AI-native editing tools and Chisel, a hybrid 3D editor that separates structure from style for greater creative control.

Led by Fei-Fei Li and co-founder Justin Johnson, World Labs aims to pioneer spatially intelligent AI systems that bridge generative modeling and spatial understanding. The company sees early adoption in gaming, VFX, VR, and robotics, positioning Marble as a foundation for the next era of AI-driven spatial intelligence.
