OpenAI has launched its Frontier platform to help enterprises build and manage AI agents, but Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap indicated that large-scale adoption across core business processes has yet to materialize. Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, Lightcap emphasized that while individuals widely use advanced AI tools, deploying them across complex organizational systems remains challenging.
OpenAI reported strong demand for its products and ended 2025 with more than $20 billion in annualized revenue, according to Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar. The company plans to measure Frontier’s success by business outcomes rather than software seat counts and has partnered with major consultancies including Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey, Accenture, and Capgemini to accelerate enterprise deployment.
India has emerged as a key growth market, with over 100 million weekly ChatGPT users and new offices planned in Mumbai and Bengaluru, as OpenAI expands voice-enabled AI access and enterprise adoption in the region.
