Ghana-based AI Startup Aya Data Secures $900K Seed Funding to Accelerate Product Expansion & Growth

Ghana-based AI startup Aya Data has raised $900,000 in seed funding, led by 54 Collective with participation from several angel investors. The funding will drive the growth of two core products, AyaGrow, an AI-powered precision farming tool, and AyaSpeech, a speech-to-speech platform focused on African languages. It will also be used to hire talent and scale operations.

This brings Aya Data’s total funding to $1.15 million, following a prior $255,000 investment from Microtraction, Savannah Fund, and Scott Bell.

Founded in 2021 by Freddie Monk and Larbi-Siaw, Aya Data specializes in data collection and annotation for AI models, supporting companies like OpenAI and Meta.
