Meta and Oakley Launch AI-powered Smart Glasses for Athletes with 3K Video and Voice Assistant

Meta has officially unveiled its latest smart eyewear, the Oakley Meta HSTN, marking the first AI-integrated product targeting athletes and sports fans. Developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the glasses offer a significant upgrade over previous Ray-Ban models, featuring 3K video capture, Meta AI voice interaction, and double the battery life.

Built on Oakley’s HSTN frame design, the glasses support functions such as music playback, calling, and real-time translation via Meta AI. A special edition with gold accents will retail at $499, with general models starting at $399. Preorders open July 11.

Meta confirmed the glasses will be released across 18 countries this summer, with more markets, including Mexico and India, to follow.
