Softbank Explores ‘Project Crystal Land’ — $1T Arizona AI-Robotics Hub with TMSC

SoftBank Group is drafting plans for Project Crystal Land, a $1 trillion industrial complex in Arizona that would manufacture advanced AI and robotics systems, according to sources briefed on the proposal.

Bloomberg reports the conglomerate is courting Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to co-develop the site, although TSMC’s level of involvement remains undecided.

The venture would dwarf SoftBank’s recently revealed $19 billion stake in the $500 billion Stargate AI infrastructure project and mark the group’s biggest commitment yet. Insiders said discussions are early, with financing, ownership structure and state incentives still under review. SoftBank declined to comment on the report.
