Moonvalley Debuts “Marey” AI Video Model Powered by Licensed Data

Moonvalley, a Los Angeles-based AI startup, has introduced Marey, an AI-powered video-generating model designed with a strong focus on ethical data sourcing. Developed in collaboration with Asteria, a rising AI animation studio, Marey is one of the few models trained exclusively on owned or fully licensed content, offering a lower-risk alternative to existing generative video technologies.

Marey enables fine-grained motion control, allowing for precise animation adjustments — such as individual object movements and subtle environmental effects. Unlike other AI-generated video tools that rely on publicly scraped data, Moonvalley ensures compliance by licensing video datasets directly from creators.

CEO Naeem Talukdar said Moonvalley’s commitment to protecting artists while advancing AI capabilities, stating that the company is proving AI models can be trained without infringing on creative rights. The platform also includes built-in safeguards, preventing the misuse of AI-generated content.

With a growing legal and ethical debate surrounding AI in media, Moonvalley positions Marey as an innovative and responsible alternative in the rapidly evolving landscape of generative video technology.
