Anthropic has announced the launch of its AI for Science program, a new initiative aimed at empowering researchers working on high-impact scientific projects, particularly in biology and life sciences. Selected participants will receive up to $20,000 in API credits over six months, gaining access to Anthropic’s Claude models to accelerate their research.
The company said the program will prioritize proposals with strong scientific merit, technical feasibility, and potential for societal impact. CEO Dario Amodei noted that advanced AI capabilities can help researchers analyze complex data, design experiments, and communicate findings. Applications will be evaluated monthly by Anthropic and domain experts, with a focus on safe and responsible scientific advancement.
