Rillet, a fast-growing startup transforming accounting systems with AI, has raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Sequoia Capital, just 10 months after securing $13.5 million in seed funding from First Round Capital, Creandum, and Susa Ventures. Founded by Nicolas Kopp, former U.S. CEO of N26, Rillet uses machine learning and generative AI to automate the creation of financial statements directly from platforms like Salesforce, Stripe, Ramp, and Rippling.
Sequoia’s Julien Bek said the general ledger is the beating heart of the finance function and that Rillet is now replacing legacy systems like NetSuite, which is a clear sign they’re ready to scale.
With nearly 200 customers and 5x revenue growth in a year, including clients like Windsurf and Decagon, Rillet enables finance teams at mid-size companies to close books in hours instead of weeks. The AI-powered platform drastically reduces onboarding time to just 4–6 weeks and offers a modern alternative to decades-old accounting software.
