Databricks Strikes $100M Deal to Integrate OpenAI Models, Including GPT-5

Databricks announced a multi-year $100 million agreement to incorporate OpenAI’s models, including GPT-5, into its data platform and AI product Agent Bricks. The partnership positions Databricks to meet growing enterprise demand for secure generative AI integrated directly with corporate data.

Agent Bricks enables organizations to build AI applications and agents on top of their own datasets, with models accessible via SQL or API. With the addition of OpenAI’s latest systems, customers can now evaluate and fine-tune performance across tasks.

The deal guarantees OpenAI at least $100 million in revenue, providing predictable income as it expands infrastructure, while giving Databricks customers — including major enterprises such as Mastercard — direct access to advanced AI models within their data environment.
