Dassault Aviation has announced a strategic partnership with Harmattan AI to accelerate the integration of controlled autonomy and artificial intelligence into next-generation combat aviation systems. As part of the collaboration, Dassault Aviation is leading Harmattan AI’s $200 million Series B funding round.
Founded to develop AI-enabled autonomous defense technologies, Harmattan AI has secured multiple Programs of Record with the French and UK Ministries of Defence and is now scaling globally. The new capital will be used to expand AI-enabled missions into additional operational theaters, extend capabilities across new defense domains, and scale industrial manufacturing of platforms spanning intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, drone interception, and electronic warfare.
Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to sovereign, controlled AI within future combat air systems, including Rafale F5 and UCAS programs. Mouad M’Ghari, CEO and Co-Founder of Harmattan AI, said Dassault’s leadership accelerates the deployment of scalable autonomous capabilities for allied forces, combining advanced AI with deep expertise in military aviation integration.
