DeepX Announces Global Physical AI Mass Production Partnership with Aaeon

Insider Brief

  • DeepX and Aaeon Technology have signed a three-year manufacturing agreement to bring DeepX’s AI chips into industrial and edge computing products, moving their partnership from testing and validation to mass production and commercial deployment.
  • The companies plan to develop AI accelerator modules and custom edge AI systems for applications including smart factories, autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, smart cities and edge security, with DeepX supplying its AI chips and software tools and Aaeon handling hardware integration.
  • The partnership builds on customer demand following certification of Aaeon systems powered by DeepX processors in late 2025, with global preorders already secured and expansion planned through Aaeon’s distribution network and the broader ASUS Group ecosystem.

DeepX and Aaeon Technology have signed a three-year manufacturing agreement aimed at bringing DeepX’s AI chips into industrial and edge computing systems at scale.

Announced at Computex Taipei 2026, the agreement establishes a commercialization pipeline for integrating DeepX’s neural processing units (NPUs) into Aaeon’s industrial computers, single-board computers and edge gateway products. The companies said the partnership moves beyond technical validation and focuses on mass production and commercial deployment.

Under the agreement, the companies will develop AI accelerator modules in standard formats including M.2, mPCIe, PCIe and COM Express, alongside custom edge AI systems for OEM and ODM customers. DeepX will provide its AI chipsets, compilers and DXNN software development kit, while Aaeon will lead hardware design and system integration.

The companies said target applications include smart factories, autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, smart city infrastructure and edge security systems.

“Aaeon combines a proven hardware platform with the ASUS Group’s extensive distribution network,” noted DeepX CEO Lokwon Kim. “This mass production agreement enables DeepX to deploy stable, high-efficiency intelligence directly inside the edge devices at the heart of the global industrial market.”

According to DeepX, the partnership builds on customer demand generated after Aaeon systems powered by DeepX processors received certification in December 2025. The companies said the platforms secured initial global preorders following certification and have since undergone testing with major customers to validate performance, power efficiency and system reliability.

“DeepX’s NPU architecture perfectly balances power efficiency and high performance,” Aaeon CEO Howard Lin added. “By integrating Aaeon’s global hardware platforms with DeepX’s advanced silicon, we are well-positioned to deliver robust, transformative edge AI solutions with long-term product availability across industrial applications.”

Through Aaeon’s distribution network and the broader ASUS Group ecosystem, the companies plan to pursue additional commercial opportunities and joint market development efforts.

South Korea-based DeepX develops low-power AI semiconductors designed for edge and physical AI applications, while Taiwan-based Aaeon provides industrial and embedded computing platforms used across manufacturing, robotics, transportation and other industrial markets.
