Fika Jobs Raises $4 Million to Replace Resumes With AI-Powered Video Interviews
Stockholm-based Fika Jobs has raised $4 million in pre-seed funding to build a video-first hiring platform that uses AI interview agents to evaluate candidates before they ever apply for a specific role, offering employers a searchable pool of pre-assessed talent rather than a stack of unsolicited applications.
The platform, currently powered by Google’s Gemini models, works by connecting to a candidate’s LinkedIn profile, generating personalised interview questions, and conducting a roughly ten-minute AI-led video interview. Responses are automatically edited into short clips and assembled into a live profile that employers can browse and revisit as new positions open. The model is designed to surface personality, communication style, and cultural fit at a stage where resumes typically dominate.

The company was founded by brothers Jakob Dubois (CEO) and Alexander Dubois (CTO), who developed the concept after nearly overlooking a strong candidate during their previous venture because his resume failed to reflect his ability. Their platform is free for job seekers, with employers charged a 10 percent placement fee on a successful hire’s first-year salary, below the 20 to 30 percent typically charged by traditional recruiters.
The round was led by Luminar Ventures, with participation from Alliance VC and King co-founders Sebastian Knutsson and Riccardo Zacconi. More than 100 companies are on the waitlist, with early testers including Plenty Labs, SICS.ai, Kognity, and Rebtel. A broader public launch is expected this autumn, with initial focus on Sweden before international expansion.
